The Wolverine State Brewing Company, located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is seeking a creative and motivated person with supervisory experience in the restaurant industry to assume the newly created position as head of our food services operations.

Position Overview: With the increasing popularity of our Tap Room on Ann Arbor’s west side, our food service operation has assumed a level of importance equal to that of our award-winning beers. We are seeking a Food Services Manager to take our Front-of-House and Back-of-House food service operations to the next level, and oversee the coordination of our guests’ food and beer pairing experience.
Responsibilities Include:
• Providing direction and vision for the entire food service experience
• Continuous improvement of all aspects of kitchen operation and customer experience
• Menu evaluation and development
• Monitoring and supporting the customer dining experience
• Coordinating, communicating, and ensuring consistency between food service and craft beer service operations
• Planning, coordinating and executing on-site catered events
• Ordering and receiving
• Ensuring proper food stock management
• Ensuring kitchen cleanliness and sanitary standards
• Hiring, motivating and encouraging staff
• Scheduling
• Training
• Ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation
• Overseeing line operation
• Tracking and controlling labor costs, food costs, and waste
Necessary Skills & Abilities Include:

Experience:
• Food Service Management required: 2 years minimum
