Summary:
The Brewer is responsible for aiding in the overall operation of the brewery by supporting the Head Brewer, and other staff with their daily duties.
The Brewer must be committed to maintaining consistently high standards, and have a passion for brewing outstanding craft beer. He/She should be proactive in their support of the Head Brewer and willing to take on any job that is asked of them for the successful operation of the brewery. The Brewer must be able to respond to a fast-paced, ever changing environment in a constructive and positive manner.
Supervisor: Brewmaster and Head Brewer
Primary Responsibilities:
*Brewery Operations
Assist Head Brewer with all aspects of the brewery operation, to include:
Scheduling brews and forecasting
Evaluating specific beer performance
Ordering
Inventory
Brewing
Cleaning and sanitation
Brewery tours
Brewery special events
Staff training (beer and brewery operations)
Overall appearance of the brewery- cleanliness & organization
Any other duty deemed necessary by the Brewmaster
*Miscellaneous
Coordinate miscellaneous projects as directed byHead Brewer.
Minimum Qualifications :
•1-2 years professional brewing experience
•Education: High School or equivalent.
•Valid driver’s license and fork-lift experience
•Proficient communication in English (verbal and written)
•Basic computer skills
•Must be flexible and adaptable to change and willing to do any job that is required for successful operations
•Must be internally motivated and detail oriented.
•Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
