AMUNDSEN BREWERY IS LOOKING FOR ANOTHER BREWER TO JOIN OUR BAND OF MISFITS AS WE ENTER A NEW CHAPTER. WE JUST RECENTLY FINISHED THE COMMISSIONING OF OUR NEW 3000m2 BREWHOUSE FACILITY IN OSLO, NORWAY. STATE OF THE ART GERMAN EQUIPMENT INSTALLED IN A MODERN DAY PRODUCTION FACILITY. AMUNDSEN BREWERY CONSISTS OF A SMALL INTERNATIONAL TEAM OF EDUCATED BREWERS WHERE QUALITY AND CREATIVITY LAYS AT THE CORE. THIS POSITION IS AVAILABLE FOR IMMEDIATE START. AMUNDSEN BREWERY HAS BEEN A KEY PLAYER IN THE OSLO & NORWEGIAN CRAFT BREWING SCENE SINCE 2011.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Production of wort.
• Packaging of finished beer (Keg, Bottle, Can).
• Packaging troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Yeast handling and monitoring of fermentation including collection of QC/QA data.
• Cleaning and sanitation.
• Maintain a safe working environment and promotes cooperation and teamwork.
• Follow all safety protocols and assist in developing and updating of Standard Operating Procedures.
• Facilitates future growth of the brewery through continuous optimization of current processes.
• Assist management on new product development including pilot batch brewing.
• Oversee and improve production efficiency.
• Inventory management and record keeping.
• Represent the brewery at events and festivals both locally and internationally.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 3 years commercial brewing experience on minimum 25HL + Brewhouse.
• Education from a professional brewing school preferred (Not needed if relevant experience can be shown)(DIPLOMA OR CERTIFICATE NEEDED FOR US APPLICANTS AS PART OF YOUR VISA REQUIREMENTS).
• A positive attitude, attention to detail, strong work ethic and the ability to have fun at work.
• An acceptance of feedback related to products produced.
• The ability to troubleshoot and think creatively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• World class beer development from concept to test brews, scaling up and full blown production.
• Always focus on quality and consistency of the finished product. In other words, THE BEER ALWAYS COMES FIRST.
THE FOLLOWING SKILLS WILL BE BENEFICIAL TO YOUR APPLICATION:
• Lab experience
• Mechanical experience
• Forklift license
