Head Brewer to lead brewery in Austin on turn-key 15bbl system. Must be strong-willed, and hard-working.
Brand new American made stainless steel brewhouse.
Compensation:
Very competitive salary, full benefits, and opportunity for profit-sharing.
Job to include the following:
All aspects of brewery, cellaring, filtering; from grain to glass.
CIP tanks, cellar equipment, brewhouse and cooperage.
Pitch and manage yeast.
Work with management on development of recipes.
Maintain workplace safety while upholding quality standards and standard operating procedures.
Maintain accurate and legible records.
Schedule brewing schedule, ordering of raw ingredients.
Understand uses of all chemicals and follow OSHA standards.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Periodically represent and work at festivals and events.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment and infrastructure.
Maintain extreme cleanliness of the brewery.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
Management experience in a brewery.
5+ years commercial brewing experience.
Ability to brew traditional and innovative styles of beer. Desire to create, passion to execute.
Knowledge of market and desire to grow in market, and beyond.
Critical analysis of recipe development.
Ability to manage multiple processes at one time.
Excellent time management skills and self-motivation.
Ability to work in a diverse environment, flexible hours with some weekend and/or overnight shifts as needed.
Ability to develop and maintain SOP’s of brewery.
Willingness to continually develop their professional brewing skill set through reading and industry resources.
Ability to develop and mentor staff effectively.
Ability to work quickly, efficiently and autonomously, while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Extreme attention to detail, as well as strong organizational and communication skills.
Relentless pursuit of developing incredible beer.
