Accounting Wizard
Job Description
Dark Horse Brewing Company is seeking a qualified accountant to record multiple daily, weekly, and monthly financial transactions, including purchases, sales, and payments. This Wizard will post information to our SAP-based software, reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy, and assist with financial reporting on a monthly basis.
Responsibilities
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
• Verify transactions are recorded in the correct general ledger across the five Dark Horse general ledgers, and bring the monthly books to the trial balance stage.
• Process accounts payable and assist in administering payroll.
• Perform multiple ad hoc financial analyses at the request of Management.
Requirements
• Position will be based out of “The Compound” in Marshall, MI
• Proven accounting experience with a solid understanding of GAAP-based accounting
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office; specifically, MS Excel
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
