    About the Position
    The National Brewing Operations Manager is responsible for directing Joyride’s production department. He/she manages the production teams in all Joyride production facilities, and makes sure that the department is adequately staffed, assisting with hiring and recruiting as necessary. The National Brewing Operations Manager also ensures that product is produced to the highest level of quality, and that all production facilities are safe, efficient, and operating at maximum productivity. He/she also oversees food safety and regulatory compliance and auditing at all Joyride plants. The National Brewing Operations Manager drives the R&D process for new products and brewing technologies, keeping Joyride at the cutting edge of craft non-alcoholic beverage production.

    Ideal Candidate
    The ideal National Brewing Operations Manager candidate is a great leader with strong technical skills, attention to detail and a deep dedication to quality. He/she has extensive experience in brewing operations, particularly in scaling and building out production facilities and supply chain management. He/she will have a strong track record of managing complex projects, driving process development, increasing quality and improving efficiency. He/she will also have deep industry knowledge and a passion for coffee and craft beverage.

    What You’ll Do:
    • Manage and develop head brewers in all production facilities, making sure their teams are properly staffed and trained, they are following all procedures and processes and that they are maintaining appropriate inventory levels
    • Ensure that the production team and brewing processes are able to maintain quality while meeting demand at all times, including during periods of high seasonal demand
    • Plan for expansions in capacity taking into account forecasts for rapid growth and geographic expansion
    • Optimize employee engagement and productivity through effective management and mentorship, proper training and development programs
    • Implement food safety and HACCP plan, and perform regular audits to ensure that all facilities are compliant at all times
    • Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives and cost savings
    • Drive R&D process for all new products and methods
    • Act as internal liaison between all other departments and production

    What’s Required:
    • 7+ years of beverage manufacturing experience; brewery operations experience preferred
    • 3+ years experience in managing people
    • Superior leadership and change management skills to build a high performing team in an evolving business environment
    • Strong team player who demonstrates strong personal initiative and integrity
    • Good written and verbal communications skills
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Ability to travel 20-30% of the time
    • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
