    Job Description
    Boochcraft is looking for a passionate and innovative brewer to produce high quality kombucha products. The brewer will work alongside a team of experienced brewery personnel working on the production floor to brew and package kombucha. Experienced production beer brewers will find many similarities to kombucha brewing and we welcome your applications.

    Preferred Skills/Experience
    • 1-3 years production experience, or equivalent educational background from a brewing based education curriculum
    • Sensory training and experience with recipe development and refinement
    • Transfers, CIP
    • Bottling/Canning line equipment
    • Experience with cellar and packaging operations in both pub and production settings
    • Basic laboratory skills including microscopy (cell counts), titrations, and yeast propagation techniques
    • Familiarity with barrel aging and cask conditioning
    • Mechanical aptitude - must have skills with basic brewery equipment troubleshooting and repair
    • Ability to follow SOPs
    • TTB tax and production filings
    • Strong ability to multitask

    Job Responsibilities
    • Independently conduct brewery operations following SOPs
    • Maintain accurate and detailed brew log data
    • Maintain inventories of raw and finished goods
    • Cellar work, including fermenter/bright tank CIP, beer transfer, packaging, etc.
    • Follow proper operating, cleaning and preventative maintenance procedures
    • Help develop and refine brewery-wide SOPs, particularly with an eye to improving consistency and maximizing efficiency in brewhouse output
    • Develop and brew new and current recipes
    • Participate in a harmonious team environment with all staff
    • Mentor and train less experienced brewers in the cellar and brewhouse
    • Participate in festivals and promotional events
    • Public tours, education, tastings and interaction with brewery guests
    • Assist in future planning for growth

    Physical Requirements
    • Ability to lift at least 60 pounds and move 165 pounds safely
    • Ability to work in a wet environment with humidity, steam, and heat
    • Ability to bend, twist, kneel, and climb stairs frequently
    • Manual dexterity
    • Endurance to work shifts on foot
