  • Refractometer/Ph meter????

I was thinking about this the other day, not sure if they exist or if it would possible to do, but are there any combo refractometers and ph meters???

It would be awesome to get both reading easily from one tool.

    Do they exist?

    Is it possible?
    Cheers,

Very unlikely to get both reading at once. Refractometer is an optical device, pH meter is electrical (well, it is mostly electronic, but it measures just potential of the electrode, see details at my pH meter site). Completely different sensors are required - and combining them into one will be just art for art's sake IMHO. They can be put into one box, but they will be still separate devices.

In another life as a nurse, I used a dipstick to test the pH and SG of urine. The stick was then placed in a machine which "read" the changes in the colour of the reagents.

If you could aspirate a small amount of wort into a machine which had (a) the reagents, and (b) an optical "reader", then yes, it would be possible.
