  • New Craft Brewery in Philadelphia – Brewer, Sales, and Service Staff

We’re a brand-new, family-owned craft brewery opening in Philadelphia this year. It’s just the two of us…and maybe you! This is your opportunity to get in on the ground floor and grow with us. We want to create a family of team members that support each other and stick around for the long haul. If you’ve always wanted to work in craft beer, and you’re excited about helping build a company from the ground up, this could be the job for you.

We’re looking to fill several positions, including brewing, sales, and service staff. While relevant experience is important, it’s also important that we find the right “fit” individual.

    Here’s what we need:

    - An amazing work ethic. We’re a small, family-owned brewery, and we need an “all hands on deck” mentality. We need someone who is always asking how they can help and where they can pitch in; someone who takes out the trash when it’s full.
    - Self-awareness. This goes beyond understanding your strengths and weaknesses in the work environment. What happens when you’re tired or hungry? How do you react in a crisis?
    - Passion for independent craft beer. We’re not planning to open 5 locations and then sell to a major conglomerate. Be ok with working in a small, sustainable business for a long time.
    - Desire to democratize craft beer: There’s a lot that we love about craft beer culture. But it has to expand if it’s going to survive. Have some ideas for changing what you dislike about the culture as it exists.
    - Commitment to improving Philadelphia. This city (and our company) won’t grow unless we all get involved somehow. What causes are you passionate about? How do you think we can support that as a brewery?

Yes, it’s about beer. But it’s also about much more than that. If you get it, e mail your resume and a cover letter telling us how you might fit in with this company to info@lovecitybrewingco.com. E mail subject lines should contain the name of a beer that you like (Corona, Yards IPA, etc.) just to prove that you’ve read this posting to the end and can follow directions. No cover letter = no response!

If we’re interested in talking further, we’ll contact you. Thanks.
