Position: Head Brewer

Location: Roswell GA
Position Summary:
Position is a regular salaried position for operating and maintaing brewery operations. Job is designed for a person heavily experienced in microbrewery or brewpub experience. Involves working both independently and in a team setting.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the entire brewing and quality control processes and hence should be knowledgeable in scheduling, brewing, cellaring and packaging operations.
• New recipe development
• Management of raw materials, inventory control and scheduling deliveries and pick ups
• Strong verbal communication and organization skills
• Participation in events, festivals, promotions, etc.
• Assist in tasting room operations / interact with & educate consumers
• Perform or assist in day to day operations including but not limited to: Milling, operating brewhouse, transferring wort, oxygenating wort, pitching yeast, monitoring fermentation, maintain accurate brew logs, operating keg washer, CIP for FVs and Brites, packaging both in kegs & from canning line, and general brewhouse cleaning
• Ability to be on feet all day and able to lift 55+ lbs regularly
• Comfortable working with chemicals and willingness to adhere to safety, environmental and brewhouse standards at all times
• Follow company policies and procedures and reflect our core values
Requirements:
• Strong passion for craft beer and desire to lead, train and educate
• 2+ Years as a Brewer or Head Brewer as well as previous experience as a cellarperson
• Flexible availability
• Degree or background in biology, chemistry or engineering is a bonus but not required
Compensation:
• Compensation is commensurate with experience
• Paid vacation
• Travel and attendance to key festivals and competitions
