Market Brewing Co. is a young brewery, brewing since January 2017, with a 2-vessel 15BBL brewhouse and 150 seat tasting room.
We are looking for an awesome person to join our small but growing team. There is room for advancement and specialization for the right candidate. This will initially be a jack-of-all-trades position with work in the brewhouse, cellar and packaging as well as various other production related tasks as required. This job is located in Canada and is only open to those legally able to work in the country. There is no relocation compensation.
Qualifications:
1+ years of professional brewing experience in a production brewery preferred
Formal brewing education degree or certificate desirable
University degree in sciences or related fields
Team player who is dedicated to maintaining a collaborative work environment
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently
Attention to detail and willingness to communicate errors and flaws in production.
Safety Conscious and mindful of surroundings
Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with common maintenance tools & practices
Ability to lift 55lbs regularly and move 165lbs safely
Ability to be on your feet for majority of working day
Beneficial Qualifications:
WHIMIS Certification
Familiarity with PLC integration and troubleshooting
Experience with microbiology & lab practices
Forklift Certification
Job Description:
Work under the direction of the head brewer on all beer production related activities
Operate 15BBL 2-vessel brewhouse
CIP all production related equipment
Transfer / carbonate wort & beer as needed
Operate manual keg washer/filler as well as canning line
Maintain comprehensive and accurate daily records
Manage inventory of raw materials and consumables
Perform Quality Control tasks
Maintain a clean work environment
This job will initially be Monday to Friday daytime hours, but flexibility in schedule is necessary as we are a growing brewery that will need to implement shift work as production demands increase. Additionally, nights and weekends will occasionally be required for special events, festivals, etc.
