Melvin Brewing in beautiful Alpine, WY is seeking multiple experienced brewers to help us make beer from the future. Qualifications or Skill Required:
Full mobility and physical capability to safely and effectively work in a brewery environment including:
•minimum two years experience in mid- to large-size craft brewery brewhouse operations
•standing up to 10 hours per shift
•stooping, bending, crouching, reaching
•manual manipulation of small parts and all equipment necessary to the job
•lifting up to 55 pounds to shoulder height repetitively
•working in often hot/wet/cold/humid conditions
•forklift operation
•ability to walk up and down stairs throughout shift
•near and far distance sight
Applicants must also possess:
•Mature work ethic
•Strong verbal and written communication capability
•Ability to work all shifts, including traditional work days, nights and weekends
•Reliable transportation
•High school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Operation of 30 bbl, 4-vessel NSI brewhouse
Grain handling and processing
Wort and beer transfer
Yeast harvest, pitching and health management
Manual cleaning of brewery equipment and parts
Basic brewery equipment maintenance
Basic facilities maintenance
