  • Reusing high gravity pitched yeast

I have always strayed away from reusing yeast after it fermented a high gravity beer. I am in a position where I may need to do this because of unavailable yeast. Do you guys think that its worth the risk??

I'd repitch away...that's not all that strong. It may lag a bit more, but if your yeast has been handled well you should be just fine.

I just repitched WLP838, Southern German Lager, from a winter lager. The batch I harvested from was 14.6 °B, it looks like the second gen is going to have a lower terminal gravity too.
