I have always strayed away from reusing yeast after it fermented a high gravity beer. I am in a position where I may need to do this because of unavailable yeast. Do you guys think that its worth the risk??

How high? What strain?

I'd repitch away...that's not all that strong. It may lag a bit more, but if your yeast has been handled well you should be just fine.

I just repitched WLP838, Southern German Lager, from a winter lager. The batch I harvested from was 14.6 B, it looks like the second gen is going to have a lower terminal gravity too.
