  • Brewer/Craft Brewery Manager in Canada

A new Brewery and Taproom in Southern Saskatchewan is looking for applicants for Brewers, Brewery Managers, or someone who is both.

Experience in a commercial scaled brewery would be a major asset, but ongoing education and improvement will be part of the program. Our ownership group has meaningful brewing experience, but there's always more to learn. The ownership group will be involved as part of the team, both in terms of management, as well as day to day operations.

You will be working with brand new, high quality, North American made (actually made here, not just sourced through NA) equipment featuring CIP, remote monitoring of the cold side, etc. We are not made of money, but we are sufficiently funded and we won't be cutting corners.

Being "handy" is an asset. Troubleshooting the basics of plumbing, electrical, and computers will be important.

Safety will be our first priority, in all cases. A brewery is an industrial facility featuring dangerously high voltages, steam, pressure, and natural gas. It will be run as such.

The taproom will be a growler fill station with pints available as well. Other staff will be hired to assist with this, but the manager would be responsible for overseeing this.

We are looking for someone who is a proven leader, and will take this project on as "their own". That proof may be in the beer industry, or in sport or the arts - but we want to see that you're a go-getter. If the first thing out of your mouth when presented with a challenge is "can't be done", or "it's not done like that here", don't apply. Whining or excuses are not welcome, but solutions and a positive attitude are. If the first thing in your head is "I bet we can make that work", or "there's gotta be a way", please apply!! Some days will be longer than others, but you will be rewarded for your hard work and dedication - not only financially but also with recognition for the product that's presented to the followers that we (hopefully) earn.

Salary is negotiable and will be based on experience, and more importantly performance. Attention to detail, creativity, and production will be, without question, rewarded.

There is some "tough talk" above, but this is meant to be a fun venture for all involved. If you think this challenge may be for you, we very much look forward to hearing from you.
