    Brewer: Fossil Cove Brewing Co.

    Fossil Cove Brewing Co., located in Fayetteville, AR is seeking a full time Brewer. This position includes duties related to brewing operations and working as a member of the brewing team. Fossil Cove opened in June of 2012 and is experiencing steady growth, we sell draft and canned beer through our distribution channel in Northwest Arkansas as well as direct to consumers from our Tasting Room.     Fayetteville, AR is located in the Ozark Mountains, is home to a laid back lifestyle and the University of Arkansas. Fayetteville is located within the Northwest Arkansas metropolitan area, home to a growing craft beer scene and multiple fortune 500 companies. We’re located close to all types of outdoor recreation activities including: canoeing, paddling, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, waterfall chasing, backpacking, fishing and camping as well as a vibrant arts scene.

    Job Description: Shift Brewer

    Daily Duties, Functions, Responsibilities:
    Shift Brewer
    • Work with the production team to meet goals related to the brewing process
    • Milling, wort production, yeast management, dry hopping, cellaring of production beers and other production related tasks
    • Focus on quality
    • General cleaning of brewery and cellar areas
    • Daily CIP of tanks
    • Operate canning and bottling line effectively
    • Transfer beer
    • Kegging
    • Cleaning kegs
    • General organization of the brewing area
    • Work with packaging team as needed
    • Work on barrel team as needed
    • Work with the production team and management to complete other projects
    • Ability to follow safety protocols and SOP’s at all times
    • Accomplish other duties as necessary

    Skills/Experience desired:
    • Knowledge of brewing, raw ingredients, process
    • At least one year experience in a production brewery or equivalent education
    • Strong desire to grow in the craft beer field
    • Background in biology, microbiology, chemistry, engineering or other related science, preferred
    • General mechanical skills/knowledge
    • Good communication skills
    • Demonstrated critical thinking and capacity for troubleshooting
    • Demonstrated strong work ethic
    • Cicerone Certified Beer Server
    • Punctual
    • Ability to lift at least 60lbs
    • Work safely in hot, wet, humid and cold conditions

    Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday, early mornings and some weekends as needed.
