Two Rivers Brewing is a GABF award winning brewpub, located in a historic building in Easton Pennsylvania. We brew fresh, inventive beer to go with our critically acclaimed pub menu.
Position Overview
The Assistant Brewer will aid the Head Brewer in all aspects of brewery operations. This position reports to the Head Brewer. The primary job focus and function will be cleaning draft lines, kegs, and tanks. The Assistant Brewer will also be expected to train to competence in all major brewery operations - CIP, basic brewday tasks, packaging, etc. This is a unique ground-floor position well-suited to a person looking to make the leap into professional brewing. As the company grows the Assistant Brewer’s role will grow as well, with lots of hands-on training.
Essential Duties
-Weekly draft line cleaning and maintenance
-Washing kegs
-Tank cleaning: Brewhouse and FVs
-Keeping dry-storage, cold boxes, brewhouse organized
-Deep cleaning the brewhouse area
-Other tasks, as necessary
Qualifications
-Homebrewing experience is a must.
-You need to love beer, beer culture, beer history, beer everything.
-Strong work ethic.
-You need to have time to work this job. This is super part-time, but please don’t apply if you can't commit. We want to invest in you, it's a two-way street. Schedule will start at 16hrs/wk and grow as needed.
-Common sense regarding strong chemicals. Additional training and PPE will be provided.
-Attention to detail.
-Ability to take direction and work independently.
-Receptiveness to constructive criticism and ability to provide constructive criticism.
-21 years of age or older.
-Ability to multitask and manage time while being detail oriented.
-Must be able to move 165 lbs
-Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours per day
-Must be able to enjoy making great beer
Compensation & Benefits
This position is entry-level and part-time with hourly wages. 16-20hrs/week will be normal. This position’s hours will increase with brewery growth and ability of the person hired. Benefits include lunch on work days, Cicerone or BJCP exam reimbursement, and beer of course.
