Head Brewer Wanted for Chicago-Area Brewery
The head brewer oversees all aspects of pub beer production (15-bbl system) and manages other brewers. Day-to-day is primarily pub brewing, with some supervision of production brewing with contract partners.
We are looking for a team-oriented individual with:
- 2 years minimum professional brewing experience
- Solid understanding of brewing theory and practice, plus great tasting skills
- Brewhouse and cellar skills; packaging experience helpful (but not mandatory)
- Interest/experience in a very wide variety of beer styles
- Experience in quality control
- Interest/capabilities in recipe formulation
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Must be available for some festivals and events outside of regular business hours.
