Vista Brewing is searching far and wide for an experienced, creative Brewmaster to join our leadership team and build a beautiful destination brewery and community. We are building on 21 acres of pristine Texas ranch land covered in 30+ foot oak trees, less than 25 minutes from downtown Austin and at the gateway to the Texas wine road (the second most visited wine region in the country). There will be a 4 acre farm+orchard on site, an 18 hive apiary, and acres of surrounding ranch land covered with forageable fruits, nuts, flowers and herbs - all of which will be a part of our seasonal brewing program.
The brewery, tasting room and farm table restaurant are under construction now, and we expect to be commissioning the brewery in the November-December time frame.
The Brewmaster we’re looking for has spent 7+ years commercially brewing in a mature market, has knowledge of cutting edge trends and technology, and has a proven ability to create world-class beers. That experience - and his or her network in the brewing world - will enable scaling production to support a 3+ acre shaded beer garden, strategic distribution, and a significant barreling program. The Brewmaster has the expertise to own production from source to glass, attract and grow a top notch team, and develop a truly noteworthy brewing program for an increasingly discerning customer.
Austin is a vibrant community of artisan enthusiasts. Keeping Austin “weird” is at the heart of what makes it one of the fastest growing and most visited cities in the US. The Brewmaster will be a part of the Vista Brewing leadership team, which will be very active in this community.
