Lead Brewer Needed... Big Storm Brewery

As our Lead Brewer, you will work in one of our two state-of-the art facilities to provide our customers with the best quality beer possible. You should have the ability to produce on both a fully automatic and semi-automatic Brew system.
Ideal candidate would have 3-5 years’ experience in various brewery roles and situations. They would be looking to share their knowledge and experience with new brewers while developing the knowledge and experience to move on to a role of greater responsibility. They would be goal oriented and willing to put in the time and effort to see Big Storm grow into one of the leading brewers of Florida and the Southeast United States.
Responsibilities:
Working under the direction of and reporting to the head brewer
Training/teaching new team members
Spearheading projects
Aid in executing production schedules
Ensuring SOP’s and record keeping are being fulfilled
Maintaining the cleanliness of the brewing facility
Be available for special events and brewery activities
Opportunity to create recipes and aid other brewery staff in developing recipes
Ability to work on various brew houses at multiple locations
Willingness to travel between brewing locations
Qualities:
Strong leadership and organization
Positive attitude and willingness to work until the task is completed
Attention to detail and focus on quality work
Strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently
Basic understanding of brewery lab operations and QA/QC principles
Desire to constantly improve product and process
Fermentation and brewery education preferred but not required
Experience in production environment preferred
Experience with barrel-aging, mixed fermentations, centrifuging, and canning preferred
