  • Malt Color Ratings (L) and Weyermann spec sheets

I'm taking a look at some malt spec sheets from Weyermann and it lists two different color ratings, "Wort Color" and "Boiled Wort Color".

Though boiled wort color is more interesting, I need to compare this info with that from spec sheets from other companies. What is the color listed on most US malt spec sheets? "Wort Color" or "Boiled Wort Color".

    Thanks for the help!

Domestic malts are wort colors measured on a Congress wort. This would be comparable to the Weyermann "wort color" as long as they are in the same units of either degrees Lovibond (L) or EBC.
