Snowbank Brewing in Northern Fort Collins is looking for a Lead Brewer. This position is full time year-round.

Essential duties and responsibilities of the position:
Lead all day-to-day activities necessary to produce high quality, consistent beer
Manage all brewery operations of our semi-automated 3 vessel 15 BBL brew system
Manage and schedule our brewing assistant
Effectively represent Beer Production in weekly meetings regarding Quality, Scheduling, and Production
Assist in development and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as necessary
Hold self and brewing assistant accountable for adhering to SOPs and maintaining a sanitary and micro-biologically stable work environment
Assist in implementation of new equipment and processes
Work with owners in product development initiatives
Maintain brewing, cellaring, and packaging related documentation in an organized and complete manner
Provide hands on relief of all positions as necessary
Provide leadership in decision making situations as needed
Maintain healthy communication with other departments (Sales, Tap Room, Owners, etc.)
Responsible for inventory control
Oversee and improve production efficiency
Monitor and improve packaged beer stability and quality
Requirements:
Must be 21 years or older
2+ years of leadership brewing experience
Strong mechanical aptitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
An eye for the big picture and how the details support it
The ability to work unsupervised and manage your own time and the time of others effectively
Ability to lift 75lb and the ability to move 150lb
Flexible schedule to attend events on evenings or weekends
Ability to operate a forklift
Knowledge of brewing quality and safety best-practices
Proficient with office programs such as Google Docs and Google Sheets
Bonus Points:
Education from accredited brewing school or other technical brewing program
STEM or other technical background or training
Microbiological lab experience
Knowledge of statistical quality methods such as Six Sigma
Novel or unique brewing experiences
