Rivals Brewing Company is not just any start-up brewery, but a savvy team of industry professionals opening a regional-size, 15K bbl capacity brewery (and that’s just for starters). We are a seasoned group of executives looking for a Brew Master to round out our senior management team, collaborating and contributing to the future direction of the company. The desire to lead in a fun, team-oriented culture is essential for success.
The ideal candidate will have the passion and ability to lead all brewing operations, from recipe development to raw materials procurement to oversight of packaging. This person will be the face of the brewery, taking responsibility for achieving a high standard of quality for our beers. They will lead and develop staff, manage the brewing processes, and direct quality control. Experience brewing on large scale equipment is a must, as our goal is to double current capacity within 2 years.

We aren’t chasing medals, but expect to garner more than our fair share. Innovation is equally important, so the ability to develop exciting new products that capture our consumers’ heart is essential.
Qualifications:
• Degree in Brewing Science or related field; advanced degree preferred
• 6 years of practical brewing experience in a professional, commercial production setting
• Thorough knowledge of project management, beer production, cellaring, storage, and packaging
• In-depth knowledge of sanitation procedures
• Mechanical/electronics experience with beer production machinery
• Management of quality assurance programs, record keeping, policies and procedure
• Overseeing yeast management programs
• 2+ year experience brewing on a 20bbl or larger system
• OSHA certified, or able to become so
• Proficient in MS Office
Our Brewing Equipment:
• Braukon 3 vessel, 25bbl brewhouse w/ Pre-Mashing System, Whirlpool Wort Cooling/Aeration and Hopback
• 6 x 30 bbl Fermenters
• 2 x 80 bbl Fermenters
• 3 x 90 bbl Fermenters
• 5 x 100 bbl Fermenters
• 1 x 30 bbl Bright Tank
• 2 x 100 bbl Bright Tanks
• Pilot Brewing System for recipe development and specialty items
Brewery production will commence May 2018. The ideal candidate will be involved prior to May for strategic planning and recruitment of other key staff members.
