I'm purchasing a building that is currently a restaurant. We want to use the hood in the kitchen for the brewhouse, then transfer the beer to the basement to ferment. We have lots of room down there for everything else. I will be using a 3bbl stout setup.
What is the best approach to transfer the wort? We are getting a bid and the plumber suggested copper plumbing. Would I even need a pump or could I just gravity feed it to the fermenter from the chiller? If anyone has done this I would appreciate any advice I can get.
