KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Cleaning in Place (CIP) and sanitation of fermentation vessels and brite tanks
• Dry hopping
• Yeast management and harvesting
• Beer transfers and carbonation
• Proper handling of chemicals required for sanitization and cleaning of equipment
• Wort Production
• Sensory Evaluation
• Fermentation Management
Applicants must have:
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Works well under pressure and at a fast pace
• Adhere to company policies
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to record all brew house information
• Strong communication skills, and willingness to be the face behind our beers
• Able to work independently
• Ability to frequently reach with hands and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds
• Formal brewing education a plus but not a necessity.
• Must live in Central Oregon or have a clear path towards moving here. Housing is extremely tight right now in Bend, so take that into consideration before applying.
* Preference will be given to candidates with 1-3 years professional brewing experience. However, the right candidate will be one who has an eagerness to produce the highest quality product as well as learn in a fun environment.
