Overseas equipment shipment

All,

I am in the throws of building a brewpub. I have found a couple of brewhouse manufacturers across the pond in England. Has anyone shipped equipment from another company to the US? What is the best method for calculating shipping costs? What taxes are involved - I assume there will be some import duties?

Start by finding a Freight Export/Forwarding Company. The Manufactuer should have a lead on this.

Used Equipment

We are setting up a Brewery in England at the moment and have found these people very good, they break brewerys, http://www.moodyauctions.com/ havent tried these people yet but they also have a lot of kit: http://www.albin-halbritter-gmbh.de. although with the pound so strong against the dolar we have found that most things are cheaper in the US.
