Know a thing or three about making honest, modest kick-ass suds? We're looking for someone who knows how to make true brew magic happen. Someone who is stoked on good beer, hard work and attention to detail. And, maybe someone who gets a bang out of having 170km of trails out the back door and a ski hill just 4 minutes from the brewery in Canada's highest city.
What's required?
This is a position that requires some heavy lifting, a heart of gold, and the delivery of what's necessary to make people smile.
The Head Brewer will:
•Be in charge of all aspects of beer production: from recipe design, wort production, cellaring, yeast management and packaging;
•Lead and train other brewery employees and assistant brewers;
• Develop and maintain QA/QC procedures and laboratory analyses;
• Lead brewery safety training and procedures;
• Work with sales and tasting room staff to assist in selling and marketing beer and equipment maintenance;
• Be in charge of brewery equipment maintenance and repair;
• Manage inventory and supply chain;
• Develop SOPs and ensure staff follow protocols.
5 years commercial experience desired.
