Startup Mongolian brewery seeks adventurous brewer
Exciting opportunity for an adventurous brewer in Mongolia
Mazala Brewing, a start up brewery in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia is looking for our first
brewer. Starting with a 10 bbl. brewpub with plans to quickly add a 30 bbl. packaging
brewery, Mongolian brothers are seeking a brewmaster to live and work in Mongolia for
1 to 2 years to brew, run the brewery and teach locals to take over. Make your mark
brewing the finest American-style ales in Mongolia, a country dominated by one big
brewer with a only few small German-style craft beers. Equipment has been purchased,
construction has begun and now we are looking for the right person to roll with what
we have started. The craft ale movement is just in its beginning stages here.
Mongolia is a beautiful country, rich in history with 3 million people, nearly half of them
living in it’s modern capital city of Ulaanbaatar (UB for short). The city has a diverse
cultural scene and a great food culture especially with Korean, Japanese, Chinese and
other Asian cuisines. Many Mongolians speak at least some English.
Mazala will provide the right candidate housing, transportation and a generous salary. We are
looking for someone with the right experience to run a packaging brewery and a
brewpub, so those with less than 18 months experience need not apply. Experience
managing people a plus.
