Foundation Brewing Company uses classic styles as the inspiration for brewing exciting beers that push conventional boundaries. Founded in 2012 and opening in 2014, Foundation is located at 1 Industrial Way in Portland, which has been a breeding ground of World Class Maine beers.
Assistant Brewer
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with production, brewing, cellar, packaging and QC operations; with strict adherence to standard operating procedures set forth in training.
- Assist in maintaining a fun, clean, neat, and safe work area.
- Perform basic maintenance task on pumps, valves, tanks and process equipment.
- Cleaning and maintenance of kegs.
- Maintain accurate and thorough log sheets and other written documentation.
- Ability to operate or train to operate forklift.
- Embrace opportunities for ongoing improvements to process and of working beer knowledge.
- Other duties as needed.
- This is an hourly, full-time position, 40 hours/week and includes a competitive benefits package.
- Standard production schedule is Monday to Friday with rotating weekend shifts, 7am-4pm, although this position's shift may vary week to week based on the brew schedule.
- Minimum age requirement is 21 years.
- Candidate must be able to work in a standing position continuously, be able to bend, stoop, and reach occasionally, and occasionally lift 60 pounds and move up to 170 pounds.
