FORK + ALE is looking for a HEAD BREWER to join our Team.
We will be opening late 2018 in Carmel, IN. We are a full
service Brewery-Restaurant with House Brews, Full Bar, Scratch
Kitchen, TV's, and a Huge Patio.
We are looking for a candidate that has energy, is self-motivated,
detailed-orientated, efficient, positive attitude, and must have 1+
year of professional brewing experience and will have the ability
to come into the company at ground level and use your creative
background to produce stellar brew in our 5 BBL Brewhouse.
Tasks Expected
* Wort Production
* Fermentation
* Filtration & Transfer
* Yeast handling & management
* Kegging Beer, cleaning equipment, draft lines, & production area
* Maintaining inventory, completing bar orders, & monitoring COS
* Maintaining clean & organized brewing area thus maximizing profit
* Communicating clearly with management & staff of the Brewery
* Keeping thorough, error-free, & consistent recipes, tax filings,
and excise reports.
Required Qualifications
* Produce a high quality, consistent, stellar brew
* Demonstrate unwavering passion for craft beer with a "not until
the job is done" mindset
* Ability to work independently, be a self-motivator, think critically
and react to change swiftly
* Ability to work safely with Chemicals, Hazards, & Heavy Lifting
(150# team and 55# individually)
* Work well in a team environment, developing your staff, instilling
positive morale, & leading with a "can-do" mindset
* Ability to stand for long periods of time
