Job Opening: Assistant Brewer
Wicks Brewing in Riverside, CA is looking for an assistant brewer possessing a strong love of craft beer, a solid work ethic, a great personality and knows how to work with ease through high stress situations.
Responsibilities:
All functions related to brewing, including (but not limited to) wort production, cellar-work, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and packaging of beer
Operating the entire brewing process
Quality assurance throughout the entire brewing process including detailed record keeping
Yeast management
Representing the brewery at various festivals and promotional events as needed
Cleaning, organizing, cleaning, and more cleaning
Following safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment at all times
Requirements:
1 year of experience in a brewery environment strongly preferred
Ability to work with a team, including good verbal and written communication
Ability to: repeatedly lift heavy objects safely, including 55lb sack of malt, >100lb casks and kegs, crouch in tight spaces, and working safely with chemicals, pumps, hot water and high pressure
Flexibility with work hours and availability
Hard working, self-motivated, and positive
Hourly Pay. Based on Experience
