Hours: Full time (40 hours). This is a salary position.
Pay: Based on experience.
Reports to: Head Brewer
Experience: 2 years professional experience, or a degree in brewing
Overview:
Ghost Town Brewing is a small brewery based in Oakland, California. We are seeking an experienced assistant brewer to join our team at our brewery and taproom.
An example of duties & responsibilities (but not limited to):
Brewing: Ability to produce wort from a recipe following an SOP.
Cellar Operations: Cellar CIP, yeast management, barrel cleaning, transfers, etc. Cleaning! Must be obsessed with cleaning.
Assist as needed with packaging including canning and kegging (everyone cleans kegs!) as needed.
Record Keeping: Detailed records of all work performed. Legible handwriting and basic computer literacy is required.
Preventative Maintenance: Assist as needed with the preventative maintenance of all brewery equipment.
Able to work long shifts and constantly be on their feet
Able to lift over 60#s
Willing to work early mornings, late nights and weekends
