HUDL Brewing Company is looking for a Head Brewer to establish new start up brewery in Las Vegas Nevada.
We will have a new 15 BBL system (Premier Stainless), all equipment is new…ALL EQUIPMENT IS NEW!…including the Keg washer.
Opportunity to be a part of the entire process as we start up this brewery.
Ideal candidate has 3-5 years’ experience working in Micro Brewery on 10 bbl system and larger.
Would be ideal if you had a Master’s of Science in Brewing Chemistry, were a Certified or Master Cicerone, and of course a Micro Biologist….OR…if you can or have produced beers that customers will spend their hard-earned dollars on to purchase more than once….return to the brewery and purchase again….and again….we can look the other way on the education…..
Job duties Include:
• Manage all operations of the brewery
• Detailed record keeping and quality control reporting
• Ability to maintain inventories of raw and finished goods
• Cellar work, including fermenter/bright tank CIP, beer transfer, packaging, etc.
• Wort production
• Dry hop tanks
• Excise tax and production filings (will have help on this)
• Use proper operating, cleaning and preventative maintenance procedures
• Help develop brewery SOPs, particularly with an eye to improving consistency in brewhouse output
• Develop and brew new recipes
• Create a harmonious team environment with all staff
• Mentor and train staff for the cellar, brewhouse & front of the house staff
• Participate in festivals and promotional events
• Public tours, education, tastings and interaction with brewery guests
• Assist in future planning for growth
• Perform and maintain all laboratory work
• Assist in the interview and hiring of new production area staff and others as required

Be self-motivated, demanding the best out of yourself and those around you.
EXPERIENCE IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING IS PREFERABLE
· An understanding of quality assurance (QA) methods and techniques, laboratory operations, and basic knowledge of chemistry and biology
• Prior packaging, bottling, and racking experience
• Mechanical experience and aptitude
• Forklift operation or certification is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
· Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl
· Heavy physical work including climbing stairs, climbing into tanks, pulling hoses, etc.
· Willing to work in wet, hot and cold conditions
· Willing to work in consistently loud environments
· Ability to work safely with potentially hazardous chemicals
· Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
