    Boston Beer is hiring an Innovation Tap Room Brewer to lead Brewing efforts in a brand new Tap Room steps from Findlay Market in Cincinnati. This role will manage Grain to Glass brewing on a brand new semi automated 5 hectoliter system.

    We are currently hiring for our next Tap Room Brewer in Cincinnati, OH.

    The Tap Room Brewer is responsible for adhering to safety and sanitation standards while producing the highest quality beer in accordance with Boston Beer standards. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ensuring safe and sanitary working conditions, daily execution of all brewing functions (raw material receipt through filling of serving tanks and kegs), monitoring and reacting to quality data both operationally and analytically, daily sensory panel, leading brewing innovation and research efforts and consistently representing Boston Beer culture; both internally and externally.

    What You'll Do:
    Responsible for daily management and execution of the brewing process in accordance with Boston Beer Safety, and Quality standards.
    Manage sanitation of all beer production areas to assure compliance with company GMP goals. This includes proper sanitation of all processing equipment.
    Manage formulation and brewing of recipes to ensure adherence to specification and performance targets.
    Participate in daily taste panel to evaluate adherence to quality and flavor targets.
    Develop short and long-term production schedule planning to fulfill on-site
    Competent in all brewing functions related to raw materials, brewhouse, fermentation, aging, cold processing, packaging, and utilities. This includes conducting, recording, and interpreting standard beer quality analysis with support from Quality Assurance team at Samuel Adams Cincinnati brewery (SACB).
    Coordinates brewery planning and ordering to ensure timely procurement of raw materials for all beers on the schedule
    Basic utility (water, air, CO2, steam, glycol) and process equipment troubleshooting, with support from SACB Engineering
    Consistently supports BBC Beer Culture development. Internally includes communication and supporting training efforts. Externally includes public interaction via brewery tours, beer events/tastings, etc…
    Collaborate with other Taproom and SACB employees to achieve common goals and ensure Taproom production and development goals are being achieved.
    Work closely with the Maintenance Team to ensure safe and effective running of all equipment and the facility in general.
    Complete other related duties and tasks as assigned.

    Required:
    Degree in Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or other associated Science or relevant experience strongly preferred. Formal brewing education preferred.
    Basic computer competency extended to, but not limited to, MS Office platform
    Basic understanding of standard brewery QA/QC practices
    3+ years of commercial brewing experience with a strong passion for brewing
    Previous experience with scheduling, inventory, and performance metrics/reporting
    Formal brewing related education desired
