    Job Description: Brewer/ Cellar Operator

    The general requirements for this position include but are not limited to:
    • Wort production on 5HL brewhouse
    • Wort production on 25 HL brewhouse
    • Thorough understanding of equipment automation and brewing on a BrauKon brewhouse
    • Yeast propagation, tracking, and management
    • Sensory analysis of all products on an as needed basis
    • Creation and implementation of production schedules
    • Ensuring quality packaging (bottle/keg/can)
    o DO levels
    o CO2 levels
    o Priming rates
    o Sensory sign-off
    o Visual presentation
    o Packaging advancement/ efficiency/ yields
    • Barrel management (acquiring/ cleaning/ filling/ tasting/ emptying/ blending/ bottling)
    • Batch tracking and inventory management
    • Raw materials tracking and inventory management
    • Facility maintenance/ cleaning/ well-being on a daily and continual basis
    • Equipment optimization and preventative maintenance
    • Cellar management (CIP/ dry-hopping, transfers)
    • Assist in weekend duties rotation (gravities/milling/etc)
    • Packaging (bottles/ kegs/ cans)
    • Cask beer program for on-site consumption
    • QA/QC duties
    • Oversee production support when needed
    • Assist in staff education
    • Other duties as assigned

    This job would entail switching shifts at a determined interval from Cellar Operations to second shift brewhouse operations.
    Position Requirements:
    • Minimum five years professional brewing experience
    • Experience brewing on an automated brewhouse
    • Formal brewing education or college-level equivalent
