Full Time Brewer
We are Hideaway Park Brewery located in Winter Park, CO. We are a taproom brewery with very limited distribution, brewing on a 3BBL system. It’s been a fun 4 year ride for me in the brewhouse, but the business needs more of my attention and it’s time to bring in a fulltime brewer. We brew all styles, focusing on rotating experimental hoppy beers. With the lagers, pilsners thrown in there for good measure. A small barrel aging program exists, with hopes of this expanding a little bit. We are a super close-knit team, all working and living in Winter Park to take advantage of the awesome biking and skiing, and we want someone to step in and have some fun with us.
Where the hell is Winter Park, CO
• We are located at roughly 9,000 feet elevation 1.5 hours from Denver.
• We have a great ski resort a five minute drive from the brewery.
• Awesome hunting and fishing out your back door.
• Hundreds of miles of killer mountain biking right in town with the Trestle Bike Park close by.
• Super cool small town community
Must Haves
• Minimum 4 years of commercial professional brewing experience
• Knowledge of all beer styles, their history, ingredients, and processes
• Ability to follow existing brewery SOP’s while also expanding on them
• Safety, safety, safety – we like you and want you to stick around
• Ability to lift 55 pound bags and move 160 pound kegs
• Self starter
• *****Pride in your work – if your goal is not to make the best beer around then please don’t apply*****
• Willingness to work a bar shift, this may sound like a demotion for a brewer but it’s what our brand and business has been based on. We want you to step in and be a full part of our community and the best way for this to happen is to get to know the people that keep us in business
Preferred but not required
• Lab experience – we do not have a lab but would like to get one setup
• Packaging – some ideas in the works for some limited small packaging
• Bachelors degree a plus
