Voyageur Brewing is located in Grand Marais, MN. We are a small town and distribute locally as well as in Duluth and the Twin Cities. Grand Marais is known for its direct access to the boundary waters canoe wilderness as well as being home to some of the most picturesque scenery imaginable. If you’re into the outdoors this is the place to be. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with high attention to detail to join our growing team. The position will require an individual that has proven experience operating and understanding all aspects of the brewing process. This is a leadership role and will present opportunity for accelerated growth.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma
• 2+ years of commercial brewing experience
• Ability to work independently with little direct supervision
• Flexibility (long hours, shift work, weekends)
• Multitasking and time management skills
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and move kegs up to 165 pounds
• Strong work ethic and self-starting attitude
• Able to duck, dip, dive, climb, turn and stand
• Proficient with Microsoft office
• Understanding in all aspects of brewing process from wort production to cellaring and packaging
• Strong attention to detail and ability to independently problem solve
Job responsibilities:
• Recipe development
• Brewing
• Vessel CIP
• Vessel sanitization
• Yeast handling including lab work
• Beer transfers
• Carbonation
• Packaging
• Keg cleaning and sanitization
• Monitoring of products
• Shipping and receiving
• Inventory accounting
• Representation at events
Compensation and Benefits:
• Compensation will be based on experience. Vacation and sick time included.
