Coulee Brew Co. is looking for a full-time Assistant Brewer to join our brewing team, in Lethbridge, AB. The selected candidate will be responsible for: Safe working practices, attention to producing consistently high-quality beers, CIP and sanitization of tanks, yeast collection & handling, beer filtration, brewhouse operation, staging of recipes, accurate recording of activities related to beer production, fermentation monitoring, general housekeeping/sanitation and other tasks as assigned by the head brewer. This position will additionally have an added emphasis on laboratory analysis of both works in process and finished product as we increase the capability of our in-house lab.
This position requires standing for long periods of time, squatting, lifting 55+ lbs repeatedly, working in hot or cold and wet conditions and working with corrosive chemicals, open flames, compressed gasses, etc. all common to chemical and biological laboratory settings.
Requirements/Qualifications:
University or College Degree in Science, brewing experience, food and/or beverage production experience is an asset, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to work varied shifts including early and late shifts as well as weekends.
