  • Testing CO2 levels with Zahm Meter

Hello everyone. I am currently using 2bbl unitanks. When drawing sample's for carb level checks, should I leave head pressure on the beer or relieve it before drawing the sample?

yes. leave head pressure on the tank. go to the zahm website, they have detailed videos about how to use their testing equipment.

Once you've carbed, you should never relieve head pressure. The zahm is filled via counter pressure, so yes you need the head pressure and you need the zahm to be pressurized. It's no different than filling a keg.

It is tough to get really accurate readings on a tank that small. Make sure you prechill your Zahm, the less liquid you take out of the tank the less you drop head pressure. Cheers
