NJ Brewery is EXPANDING, looking for a Head Brewer
Red Tank Brewing is a 20BBL Brewery on the beautiful Jersey Shore.
We are located in a hip downtown area full of food, art & life.
We are currently looking to expand our production and are looking for a Head Brewer.
The scope of job duties includes but is not limited to wort production, cellar work, dry hopping, yeast management, filtration, CIP, and cleaning.
We are a fun, family oriented and positive work place.
We are looking for someone who is easy going, upbeat & positive.
We currently have quite a few distribution clients as a full line of beers.
We have been open since October and have garnished a fantastic reputation. We believe in beer as science & art and are looking forward to creating a fantastic brand.
Competitive compensation is based on experience.
This is a full-time, salaried position.
Requirements of candidates:
3 full years of professional brewing experience (minimum)
works well under pressure
can handle working with people
Use of CIP system (Clean-In-Place), clean tank or line interiors (may be automated or manual process).
unique mash regiments/procedures
Sanitary assembly of process parts (soft lines, pumps, tri-clamp fittings, etc.)
Monitor production operations (fermentation & conditioning of the beer)
use of unique spices, fruits, and other non-traditional ingredients
extensive knowledge of barrel: aging, maintenance, etc
bottling conditioning
schedule deadlines
warehouse experience/organization
mechanical maintenance skills for all brewery equipment upkeep
good physical shape and the ability to lift 140lbs repeatedly
raw materials ordering experience
lift up to 55 pounds and occasionally maneuver up to 170 pounds
recipe tracking and inventory experience.
a background in chemistry, microbiology, and culinary arts is a huge plus!
A Bowie fan would be awesome.
