BNA Brewing Co. & Eatery is located in the heart of downtown Kelowna. We are an award winning independent craft brewery with an on-site Tasting Room and attached full-service Eatery. Last year we installed 6 bowling lanes and expanded our capacity to become one of the largest hospitality locations in the Okanagan. Our business is continually growing and so is our team!
We are looking for the right person to join our brewery operations full time as a Lead Brewer/Brewer. We are a company that is rapidly growing and this position will fill our need to keep up with that demand. The right candidate should thrive in a fast paced and demanding work environment, and challenge themselves to be constantly improving. The individual considered for this position must have a strong work ethic and be able to self-manage time efficiently. This is an exciting opportunity that has potential for huge growth within our company.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Commercial brewing experience
- Knowledge of proper CIP/SIP procedures
- Capability to understand, follow, maintain and improve SOPs
- Ability to work unsupervised and maintain high levels of productivity and accuracy
- Effective time management: ability to work efficiently at a fast-pace with precision and good sanitary technique
- Basic knowledge of proper chemical handling and brewery safety
- Accurate and detailed record keeping
- Willingness to participate in company events and promotions both at and outside the brewery
- Able to work flexible hours, days, evenings, and weekends if/as needed
- Commitment to the company of at least one (1) year
Duties:
- Report directly to the Brewmaster
- CIP/SIP of all fermenters, brites, equipment and brewhouse
- Cleaning & Filling Kegs
- Regular work on packaging/canning lines
- Monitor and record fermentations
- Cellarwork (i.e. Transfers, filtrations, dry-hopping, secondary additions)
- All aspects of brewing process (wort production to yeast pitching)
- Maintain brew house equipment as well as assist with overall facility cleanliness
- General brewery labour as required
