La Textil is seeking an experienced full-time brewer to work alongside the owner/brewer in this project under construction in Barcelona, Spain. We are a brew pub with a street food inspired, grill-focused restaurant and a live music venue in the heart of downtown Barcelona. This ambitious endeavor is just starting the construction phase after a year and a half of planning, and we expect to open in the beginning of 2020.
The owner/brewer seeks a co-brewer who will be responsible for development of recipes and all aspects of beer production and work either independently or collaboratively depending on the demands of the venue.
We have a 7bbl steam-fired brewhouse with a capacity of 1000 bbl annually, and we expect to produce about 500 bbl in the first year. The position will also involve brewing in our second, pilot facility that has a 2 bbl brewhouse where we will be housing our mixed fermentation and barrel aging program and distilling spirits as well.
We are looking for someone with formal brewing eduction and at least 5 years of experience on similar sized systems. Our ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of and respect for brewing tradition along with a passion for innovation.
