Hi all--
I'm just starting construction on my brewery, and I'm in the market for a filtration / softening system, and I came across LifeSource water filter. It carbon filters and partially softens the water (leaves calcium and magnesium) without salt or potassium. Is this just a huge carbon filter or is this a legitimate water softener? The literature on it says it uses a Beotrone Energy Cell to reduce hardness.
My water has over 300 ppm in TDS, around 8 pH, and the chlorine content is quite high. It seems ideal since I don't want to strip all minerals, but would like to reduce them to within an acceptable range and would like to lower my pH. I'm trying to avoid buying a chemical based softener and RO.

Thanks for any advice!
