  • One stop shop MSDS sheets?

    Greetings,

Is there a spot online or a thread here I am unaware of that lists typical chemicals used in a microbrewery? A list devoted to effective more ecologically sound chemicals would be superior for my research.

I checked out OSHA's site quick like and was unable to find a rookie friendly list.
I have googled my way to some info and I am prepared to continue to use that route and the route of direct questioning of some brewers I am getting to know. Though the closest brewer working w/ me is two hours away. So I thought it would be wise to throw it to the forum community as well!

    thx

Your chemical supplier should be sending you an MSDS sheet even before the product hits your door. All MSDS sheets should be stored in a binder in a location for all employees to review. The sheets should be updated yearly and even if you discontinue using a chemical, you should keep the sheets in case there is a problem in the future with one of your employees.

Not exactly what you asked for (and a few years late), but here is a link to a good MSDS database:

This website is for sale! hazard.com is your first and best source for all of the information you’re looking for. From general topics to more of what you would expect to find here, hazard.com has it all. We hope you find what you are searching for!

You can find pretty much any product made in the last 10 or 15 years. I'm responsible for maintaining our MSDS folders at work and I use this site to replace missing documents when I audit.
