I have recently relocated to the Seattle area and am seeking employment in the brewing industry. I have ten years of experience, with an extensive array of skills:
-Brewhouse operations, from a 10BBL Kasper-Schultz brewhouse to a 250BBL Rolec system
-Cellar operations, on fermenters from 10BBL to 750BBL
-Barrel-aging, including sour fermentation in wine barrels
-Packaging operations, including operating a 16-head Kosme rotary bottler and a six-head Alpha mobile canning line
-Recipe and process development, including creating new processes for things like kettle souring
-Ingredient and materials acquisition
-CIP and cleaning operations
-Centrifuge and filter operations, most recently an Alfa Laval centrifuge and a 100-plate Schenk filter
-Yeast propagation and harvesting
-Basic lab work
I have also earned the International Brewing Diploma from the Siebel Institute, and have a BA in English from Purdue University.
