    Summary: Wachusett Brewing Company is looking for an experienced, hands-on Finance Director to lead and direct the activities of the Finance Department. This position is critical in helping our company optimize financial health, monitor operational performance, and execute strategic initiatives. Will work with other senior management to meet financial objectives by creating and managing procedures, budgets, policies, controls, and reporting systems to support the brewery's financial infrastructure and ERP (OrchestratedBEER). This position ensures legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions, oversees cost and general accounting, AR, AP, and payroll.

    • Oversees and manages the Company’s ERP systems from a financial perspective and provides the status of the financial condition of the company by collecting, interpreting, and reporting key financial data.
    • Advanced understanding of financial accounting principles, financial statements preparation, and analytical reporting.
    • Direct experience with cost accounting, fixed asset management, and tax compliance.
    • Lead the financial modeling capabilities for real-time analysis of operational efficiencies to improve the company’s financial performance, including the creation and delivery of enhanced management reports, key performance indicators and dashboards that allow key business partners to better understand their business and make informed decisions.
    • Lead the Finance team in (LEAN Manufacturing) the identification, quantification, and execution of all brewery’s gross margin improvement/supply chain optimization/cost reduction projects.
    • Works with senior management to create and monitor departmental budgets/forecasts.
    • Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
    • Ensure Return on Investment (ROI) / financial assessment of Brewery initiated projects prior to submission for approval and evaluation on an ongoing basis.
    • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements. Advise management of actions and potential risks.
    • Arranges for audits as required and appropriate.
    • Keeps up to date on information and technology affecting functional area(s) to increase innovation and ensure compliance.

    • Strong financial management and strategic thinking background.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA preferred
    • 5-10 years related financial leadership experience required, including budgeting, forecasting, planning, analysis, and building financial models in the consumer products and/or beverage industries.
    • Knowledge of consumer products, product mix impacts, cost structure.
    • A solid leader and team player, with the ability to build strategic partnerships and to engage, develop, and motivate their team.
    • Ability to influence business decisions.
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills; comfortable communicating with all levels.
    • Extremely well organized, data-driven, and comfortable managing multiple projects.
    • Experience with Orchestrated Beer and all Microsoft Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) preferred.
