    Job Description


    NEFF Brewing is looking for a friendly, energetic, results driven, and team-oriented sales representative to join our team. The candidate should have passion for craft beer and the craft beer industry, as well as the ability to build strong sustainable relationships with our customers, retail partners, and distributors. Sales Representatives are responsible for managing the NEFF Brewing wholesale market presence, brand awareness, product representation and sales at on and off-premise retail accounts, maintain relationships with distributor partners and retail partners counterparts, and attend festivals and events throughout your assigned distribution territory while working under the supervision of the Sales & Marketing Director.

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)
    • Support and promote NEFF Brewing’s mission, values, and company culture.
    • Increase overall sales volume, sales velocity, brand presence, and brand awareness in assigned territory.
    • Promote NEFF Brewing product portfolio.
    • Plan and execute on and off premise account visits on a weekly basis
    • Visit assigned retail locations per designed route
    • Document retail calls and visits on the NEFF VISITATION REPORT (NVR)
    • Email NVRs to management & distributor counterparts on a weekly basis
    • Plan and execute on and off premise promotions as required. Including but not limited to:

    – Public In-store tastings

    – On-Premise Feature Promotions

    – OFF-Premise Feature Promotions

    – Product samplings with retailers

    – Set up & take down of points of sale and display activities
    • Educate distributor sales personnel, decision makers at retail accounts, and bar managers regarding branding, products, promotional plans, and product pricing.
    • Represent NEFF Brewing at various community events, festivals, markets etc.
    • Maintain ongoing positive interactions with distributor sales personnel and decision makers at retail accounts for sales, marketing, brand/product education, and events.
    • Achieve monthly and quarterly planned sales and distribution goals.
    • Operate effectively within corporate and budgetary guidelines.
    • Develop new business by acquiring new accounts to our customer portfolio and grow existing accounts within established sales territory.
    • Track and monitor success of our products in all identified accounts within assigned territory.
    • Ensure product quality through account calls, warehouse visits, and brand audits.
    • Regularly and frequently follow up at accounts to ensure our beers are properly labeled, represented, stored and served to our standards.
    • Participate in regularly scheduled ride-a-longs with distributor sales representatives

    Job Requirements:
    • Basic knowledge of the craft beer industry, including Cicerone Level 0 – Certified Beer Server Exam – (requires some study and a 30-minute online exam)
    • At least two years of sales or customer service, experience in the alcoholic beverage industry and experience with distributor practices is strongly preferred
    • Track record of excellence in sales
    • Basic knowledge of beer offerings (flavors, ingredients, etc.) in order to answer questions from customers, as well as conduct tastings.

    Special Requirements:
    • Must have ability and willingness to maintain flexible work schedules, as weekend and extended workdays are necessary and required.
    • Extensive Travel required, including some overnight stays.
    • Must have own vehicle, valid Driver’s License, current insurance coverage and clean driving record.
    • Cicerone Level 1 – Certified Cicerone, is strongly preferred

    • Decision making skills -collect, assess, and interpret relevant information and make sound judgment
    • Analytical skills to gather and summarize data; ability to identify problems and inconsistencies
    • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports in Excel.

    Equipment, Machines and Software Used:
    • This position requires the regular use of a computer, iPad or similar, printer, copier, cell phone, scanner, calculator, jockey box, kegs, and pop-up tents.
    • Computer Software: Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, Arryved Point of Sale, CRM, EKOS.

    Physical and Mental Requirements:
    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time. i.e., at beer festivals and in-store tastings
    • “Walk and talk”, listen and communicate effectively and efficiently.
    • Ability to lift a keg for a short period of time occasionally and frequently moving cases of beer by hand.

    Environmental Conditions:

    The employee is subject to inside and/or outside environmental conditions. Working tasting events or festivals will at times require employee to work outside in windy, hot, cold or wet conditions to some extent. At times employee will need to work in refrigerated areas such as beer coolers and merchandising units. Employee will need to work around crowds and be able to deal with challenging situations involving people and their behaviors in a responsible and friendly manner.

    Compensation for this position depends on experience

    Minimum starting salary for full-time employment is $40,000 per year. Actual starting salary is DOE.
