    Job Summary: The Utility Systems Manager is responsible for the performance of all critical brewery support systems including water treatment, wastewater treatment, biogas treatment, industrial refrigeration, steam generation, compressed air, energy generation and transmission, bulk gas reclamation, storage, and distribution.

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
    Specifically, the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following activities:
    • Manage utility operations, related employees, and contractors
    • Establish KPI metrics and regularly communicate performance objectives to employees and management
    • Recommend and implement system improvement modifications and processes to maintain compliance, improve productivity, product quality, employee safety, and to maximize equipment reliability, availability, and up-time
    • Schedule and oversee all maintenance and compliance initiatives related to utility systems
    • Help design a good preventative maintenance plan for all utility systems
    • Guide company initiatives related to water and wastewater and act as a liaison with local, state, and federal regulatory commissions
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    Required Qualifications:
    • 4-year Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent
    • 5 years minimum experience in related industrial field
    • Strong personnel management and communication skills
    • Extensive knowledge of utility system design and operations
    • Familiarity with automation software and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems
    • Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
    • Ability to operate machinery, lifts, fork trucks, and work with various tools
    • Basic ability to troubleshoot low-voltage electrical componentry
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, precise, and reproducible data
    • Ability to operate in a team and multitask in a fast-paced environment
    • Self-motivated attitude with ability to take initiative, act promptly and be proactive
    • Ability to use a PC and proficient in Microsoft Office suite with a willingness to learn new applications
    • Ability to analyze and solve practical problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in situations where only limited standardization exists
    • Ability to develop new and unique ideas
