    Redhook Brewery, part of Craft Brew Alliance, has an immediate opening for a Manager of Brewing & Quality in Woodinville, WA. Responsibility is to oversee all facets of the Brewing operation as well as providing leadership and technical oversight for the Quality Assurance department.

    Specific job duties:
    Supports the Company’s Mission and Made True values.
    Works closely with the Corporate Brewing, Quality and Innovation team to:
    Adhere to published policies
    Share Best Practices
    Scale-up and schedule Innovation & new products
    Implements and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics and targets to drive continuous quality and manufacturing improvement.
    Works closely with the Scheduling Manager to coordinate brewing with production and new product development needs.
    Responsible for successful transition of all final recipes to Production.
    Establishes and manages the production schedule to meet required demand and inventory targets in conjunction with the Manager, Packaging and Warehouse.
    Develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures for production and quality assurance.
    Oversees the routine analysis and adheres to published policies for in-process and finished beer: microbiological stability; taste; pre-package and in-package specifications; and product analysis.
    Provides and reviews QA analysis data with the Corporate Brewing, Quality, & Innovation team to control the brewhouse process and product parameters.
    Works closely with the Manager of Packaging and Warehouse to ensure the product meets the desired specifications.
    Ensures a safe working environment and supports safety initiatives and training.
    Identifies cost-saving initiatives (beer & material loss, brewing efficiencies, etc.) and develops and leads corrective action plans.
    Manages departmental budget and ensures forecast accuracy and annual plan compliance.
    Handle internal/external customer relations pertaining to QA/Brewing.
    Works closely as a team with the Brewing and Quality managers at other CBA locations to address companywide brewing and quality issues.
    Champions the maintenance of quality standards and focus at this location.
    Responsible for quality related product holds and resolution.

    Position Requirements:
    Bachelor’s Degree Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science or Fermentation, or equivalent experience.
    An advanced degree in the same fields is preferred.
    Minimum 5+ years direct production/QA experience in the beer/malt beverage industry, as well as management experience in a small/medium sized operation.
    Cicerone Certification is a plus.
