    Hello!

    We are currently looking to hire a full time Brewmaster for a new brewery/tap room opening in the fall of 2020.
    70 Acre Brew Co. is a new 10 barrel start-up brewery/100 seat taproom in Sherwood Park, Alberta. We are set to open in the fall of this year (the exact date is unknown at this time due to the Covid-19 pandemic). We are looking to build a solid partnership/foundation with a Brewmaster to help with the brewery design and layout as well as the beer program ahead of the opening date. We are looking for individuals that are accountable, reliable, personable and knowledgeable who are looking to join a fun & positive work environment.

    Applicants must have a formal brewing education from an accredited brewing program or 2+ years professional brewing experience and have a passion for people and beer.

    Roles & Responsibilities:
    Recipe creation, development, formulation, and production.
    Looking after all aspects of the beer production process and day-to-day operations of the brewhouse.
    Yeast management as well as laboratory analysis and operations.
    Monitoring/quality control throughout beer production.
    Setting par levels and maintaining inventory levels for raw materials and brewing supplies, as well as taking deliveries and placing/verifying orders.
    Forecast and monitor sales.
    Schedule production according to monitored and predicted beer levels.
    Preventative maintenance and cleaning of all brewing equipment including keg washer and canning line, as well as cleaning of kegs, floors, drains, and mill room.
    Represent/promote 70 Acre Brew Co at Alberta Small Brewers Association (ASBA) events as well as various festivals around Alberta.
    Assist with sales/distribution.
    Maintain brewing areas to ensure compliance with company quality, sanitation and safety.
    Train Front Of House (FOH) staff on the flavors and styles of beer as well as the brewing process.
    Give tours to craft beer enthusiasts.
    Assisting with draft line cleaning in the taproom.
    Flexibility and willingness to work nights and on weekends.
    Hire/train/supervise assistant brewer(s).
